Looking Forward To Week Three

Wow!  Week 3 already! It may not seem a long time in terms of the length of the journey that I am on, but I’m thrilled with how it’s going.

I’ve set long term and short term goals, and I while I may not have completed every one of them last week, I completed almost all of them.

  • I stayed on track with my healthy eating.  I maybe have strayed once or twice, but the difference was that I didn’t eat the WHOLE bag of tootsie rolls or caramels, I only had one or two.  That is a HUGE accomplishment for me. (yes, the halloween candy is still in the house, but each time I walk by the bag and don’t take one, I give myself a pat on the back)
  • I worked out at the club when I could, and when I couldn’t I did other activities instead – walking, and ice skating.
  • I woke up each morning energized, looking forward to the day and what I could accomplish, instead of waking up tired and dreading what the day could bring.
  • I’m visualizing what I will look like, instead of obsessing of how I look now.
  • I’m taking control of my life, instead of aimlessly sleepwalking through it.

These past two weeks have seen the re-emergence of my confidence.  Instead of sitting home on a weekend feeling sorry for myself, I’ve gone out and had fun!

Knowing how great I feel at 3 weeks, I’m SO looking forward to how fabulous I’m going to feel further along in my journey.

Watch out world, I’m ba-a-a-a-ack!

Goals for Week 3

  • Make meal plan for week, and shop for food
  • Take 3 aerobic classes at fitness club – Monday, Wednesday, Friday –
  • Do at least 2 weight training sessions – Tuesday, Thursday –
  • Walk to work if the weather permits – 25 minute walk –
  • Send off parcel to daughter at university – didn’t do that last week so will be doing that Monday – Sorry Sarah, it really is coming.

Looking for an great online food diary? Last week I discovered a great site for motivation and food and exercise tracking.  It’s called My Fitness Pal I have found great support there, and some wonderful advice and motivation.

      Hi Sally, thanks for coming by! I’m finding that wordpress.com is a challenge with regards to javascript coding. I’ll have to figure out how to put the GFC on my site. I know I have the RSS for people to use for Google Reader.

* Participate in the 100 days of intentional movement
* Walk 2011 miles in 2011
* Continue my healthy eating and exercise program
* Lower my body weight by 10% by February 1st, 2011
* Lose the next 10% of body weight (17 lbs) by April 1, 2011
* Read at least one book per month that provides spiritual sustenance or enlightenment.
